hi if were in the market for a tape drive, i would seriously consider a randoom access device -- dvdrw -- if the backup could be completed within the current 4.7GB range (2x 3x). i beleive that hard drive backup/dvdrw backup will become a significant alternative so long as the price of dlt remains elevated.
