I thought this was a bug because I was getting the same issues. They talk about the workaround as getting the following script from RH7.x:
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-routes I don't have any RH7.x machines, can someone provide the script here? BTW, when I use redhat-config-network to configure my network under RH8, it creates the route.eth0 file. The only other issue I have with this setup is when I use redhat-config-network to add an alias, it adds many default route entries in my routing table for each alias device ie. if I have 10 alias devices, I also have 10 default route entries. Any help here would be appreciated.
