Here's my favorite script to list all the installed rpms in date-sorted order:
#!/bin/bash
rpm -qa --queryformat '%{installtime} %{name}-%{version}-%{release}
%{installtime:date}\n' | sort -g | sed -e 's/^[^ ]* //'
This is *extremely* useful if you want to know which packages were
installed in say, the last week.
