I can add that I have been using 2.0.33 for several weeks now
with no problems like you're describing. The only problems
I've had have been due to bad RAM. Long ago, I had a problem
like you're describing with a previous kernel, and it turned
out to be that my Power Supply fan had died and the processor
was getting too hot. If your system's not getting hot, I don't
know. Good luck.
