Hello Gordon, Thanks for the prompt responce. dmesg would be cleared as soon as I rebooted right? I'll check the logs though. The nic is a RTL8139. In fairness, these boxen run for months without a reboot. I just wanted to take a proactive action with this. Thanks again, j
