I do have the 3 iso images along with the MD5SUMS on the same directory. Sure you mean to run that md5sum from the boot: prompt at the installation of linux, don't you? Also do the md5sums file accounts for all the 5 iso files that reside at the same distribution location (including RPM) or it can be operated on any set of them, hence for the three of the iso files? Thank you v.much

I type "linux mediacheck" at the > "boot:" but I think it is then ignored. If you don't use CDs, but ISO images, use md5sum to calculate MD5 fingerprints for your ISO image files and compare them with what you find in the file MD5SUMS where you downloaded the ISOs. You can also automate that with "md5sum -c MD5SUMS" provided that you have the three ISO images and the file MD5SUMS in current working directory. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE+20hP0iMVcrivHFQRAoCOAJ0UwOCANK1XSJVXsGjUHkeezpJvSQCfa0oY RJ7sJpCFFgtm/12bIIteKvs= =BXRB -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
