Our pop3 service will not respond for random periods from 1-15 minutes several times a day. All other services work (i.e telnet ftp www smtp etc..) it will come back by itself but it really annoys our users (we are an ISP). Has anyone else had this problem? I have eliminated hardware (new HD and machine) and the machine load is VERY light. I have even applied the upgrade RPM on redhat's homepage. Heres some other info just in case it helps: we run intel p2 300servers with plenty of HD and ram we have RedHat linux 5.0 This has been hapening for a long time but gets wors(mopre frequent ) every day.
