Hello out there I have a problem with the "add/remove programs" program in redhat 9. When i installed my system i forgot to include the "development tools" and "kernel development", so thats what i am trying to do. But, when i choose either of them i gives the following error: --- Packages Not Found
The following packages could not be found on your system. installation cannot continue until they are installed unlocateable package | required by krb5-libs = 1.2.7-10 | krb5-devel openssl = 0.9.7.a-2 | openssl-devel --- Now the fun begins, since neither of the two packages (krb5-devel, openssl-devel) are in the "development tools" nor "kernel development". So i thought that i would try to install the packages manually, and found them precompiled as rpms on rpmfind.net, tried to install them just to find out that they already are installed. The ones installed are never than the ones i downloaded though (downloaded the ones who had the same version as the error message said). Then i quit the add/remove programs and startet it again, to try and add/remove another program - and that worked, so it isn't the add/remove program there is something wrong with. BUT if i remove the check from the options, so that nothing has changed the update button stays there, and if I press it, it gives the same error. I think the fault lies in the liveupdate program somehow, but since i am new to linux i could be very wrong. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? -- Greetings Tinus Norstved tinusATstud.auc.dk -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
