I am running 2.0.1 and have no problems.
Often it is rather slow. Right now I would hit "Run Now" (If I would like to have an xmms, that is not able to play mp3´s)

1) Please, don't send attachments to the mailing list. 2) It can play MP3's if you get the plugin from XMMS.org.
It seems I'm the only one with the problem then.
