line. I have a laptop on which I often don't load X but just use the console. I used the lat9v-12 font instead of the default, because the default is much too large.

It worked! Text looks good now, but I do get a failure on boot when it try's to set DEFAULT FONT. Says cannot find font "fixed".
Since it works, this does not appear to be a problem, but what other fonts could I put in the i18n file that would work?
