Actually, that was the weird thing. It saw the adapter, but not the drive. I took it off the shelf this morning to take a look inside it, and noticed that it was plugged into an array controller. I unplugged it from there, and plugged it into the controller on the motherboard. Now it works great. Thanks for all your help!
