How do you explain the more recent RHSA-2003:195-06 from 2003-06-19,
which ships kernel 2.4.9-e.25 for ix86 platforms?

Because you get binary packages via RHEN only.

I don't care at all whether you can create rpms for ix86 from a
src.rpm where Red Hat includes conditional build code for ix86. All
that matters to me is what the official and supported erratum is.
