The problem is not with Firestarter not running, but when I log in remotely via ssh and run the vncserver command to access my X desktop remotely, Firestarter does not execute. Even if I open a terminal window and type firestarter, nothing happens and no errors, whereas if I type firestarter in my ssh window, I get a gtk error about unable to open display (which makes sense since no X display is running on :0).

So, Firestarter is running, but the GUI of Firestarter will not open via VNC.
