I've added two extra search lines to my /etc/resolv.conf and now it looks like this: ; generated by /sbin/dhclient-script search customer.nl search customer.co.uk search customer.com nameserver 145.36.9.19 nameserver 145.36.5.1 But short hostnames in the .co.uk domain still don't resolve. Anyone knows why? Running RH9. By the way, I do the addition by adding an extra two lines in /sbin/dhclient-script, because there is no way to configure the dhcp client that it leaves the two lines, right?
