Thanks very much for clarifying that..

So if I select packages to be installed on the website, the system checks back with 
the site a n hour later to dl
And install the packages..

On another note..I also tried to do the up2date -u and the kernel.src rpm dl was 
giving me an error, saying that
I need about x amount of mb on the root directory..but when I take a look, I have more 
than enough space for the install.
Why am I getting this error?

-l lists the available updates.

-u actually performs the updates.

These are both independent from selecting the packages to be installed on 
the website; those are installed automatically a few hours later (usually 
one or two hours later) when the system checks in with RHN and gets 
instructions.
