from the command prompt type rpm -qi mailman and it will show you a
quick start guide to getting it running.

that. Try not to use the RPM version that comes with redhat.

the mailman website has documentation has good documentation to get you
started in less than an hour. Also subscribe to their mailing list.

i have tried both ways (RPM, and the source code), and the source code
way
is the best in the long run.
