this is beautiful, thanks for the hint, now the next
question is  how I will come to know before doing 
ncftpget  whether the file present in remote host
directory or not 

I thought to use nfftpls –l  -f sam.cfg
/home/$USER/sam.out, and the result came out 
NOT a URL: /home/<user name>/sam.out

is there any other method ?
