I had no problems with:
- a micron millenia XR (but the original HDD - Fujitsu I think,
died after about 6 weeks, replaced with a Maxtor)
- a P200MMX clone (ASUS TX97E / Intel P200MMX)
- an old P120(buggy!) clone (don't know it's guts except for the
Matrox Millenium II PCI video)

I had some problems with an HP KAYAK (don't remember the model,
single PII/266):
 - the NIC is not supported in the shipped kernel/modules, needs
pcnet32.c compiled... (this was pretty bad, as it was the only
network connection, and I had to bend backwards to do it without
access to the errata upgrades)
 - the on-board Cirus Logic AGP video is not yet supported by
XFree 3.3.2, so I added a Millenium II PCI
 - some batches of the "multimedia" keyboards occasionally die
(non-linux specific hardware bug), HP will replace them.

A friend with another KAYAC / dual PII/300 and SCSI drives had
the same problems, plus some SCSI problems with kernel 2.0.34, he
upgraded.

But once the problems solved, RH really screams on both KAYACs!
