Nothing specific, but for general troubleshooting I'd try the following: 1) Change to runlevel 3 (no X) see if that solves it. (su, init 3) 2) Change to single user mode, again, see if that solves it.
If so, try disabling services that interact with your HW. (Say, take out pcmcia, turn off hotplug, cups etc.) Or, maybe I'm way off...
