I agree that I was OT, but because the original poster obiviously does
not honor threads, if I had changed the subject he would have missed
propably my post. Of course I could've emailed him privately, but the
sad fact is, that many posters on this list do not honor message
threads.

About your KWeather problem: I do not use it, but searching for a while
in Google (which you should always do first before posting here) I saw a
lot of similiar postings asking the same question. One answer was:

"Have you done the configuration for Kweather? I found it quite hard to get
to initially, as I kept on getting the panel config instead, however on my
panel I have a very small arrow on the left of the blank spot. Once you get
to the preferences you need to select an ICAO location (use the lookup on
the right. The other settings are traight forward."

And another solution offered (though for RH8) was:

"I was able to fix this by uninstalling the kdetoys rpm package under
redhat 8.0, and installing kdetoys from src (using --prefix=/usr as a compile
option). I did initially have the same problem."

I also saw a message stating that KWeather simply did not work and
instead the user switched to using Gnome's weather applet.

Regards,
Peter
