Slim, but real.  This is a general point, rather than one about
sendmail or even RedHat, but (if I may say so) you should suck it
and see on a non-prod box first.  If you don't have that luxury,
perhaps you can upgrade sendmail at a time when an outage will
cause minimal impact - out of usual business hours, perhaps at the
weekend.

It's nice to keep your IT users on separate servers from 
business users so they can be used as guinea pigs, if possible.
