Slim, but real. This is a general point, rather than one about sendmail or even RedHat, but (if I may say so) you should suck it and see on a non-prod box first. If you don't have that luxury, perhaps you can upgrade sendmail at a time when an outage will cause minimal impact - out of usual business hours, perhaps at the weekend.
