Ok, I didn't quite make myself clear. I don't have a graphical login. In fact this is only under the root user, non of the other users are experincing this problem. I can get to the terminal. In fact I said it was X, but it is actually Gnome because X starts just fine. It's just Gnome not starting. Any ideas?
