To be very short: This is an IRQ conflict. IRQ's for PCI are assigned before
ISA, so if your PCI card gets lets say IRQ 10 and your NIC is setup to use
10, your NIC doesn't show...

Tell your BIOS that it shouldn't assign a specific IRQ to PCI.
