I have downloaded rpm´s that should be installed in RH 9 , and I follow the instructions on the web.
I have checked md5sum and they are Ok.
I have tried with rpm -Uvh filenames and rpm -Fvh filenames.. and It doesn´t work... :( I get the same error..

Hi, I trying to update up2date because of the Red Hat Network
Certificate Expiration and I download this files:
    up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
    up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm

(the ones that appear in the web site when you select RH 9)

When I make rpm -Fvh up2date-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
    up2date-gnome-3.1.23.2-1.i386.rpm

I get this error:

error: File not found by glob: up2date-3[1].1.23.2-1.i386.rpm
error: File not found by glob: up2date-gnome-3[1].1.23.2-1.i386.rpm

where is the problem??

Thanks you!

Esteban

Hey Esteban,

I'm pretty much a newbie to Linux, but I am running RH9 and I updated without any troubles. Quick question for you. You are running this as root, and did you run the command from in the directory where you download the rpm's into. Just something that might have been over looked.

HTH.
