Not sure but a good solution would be to run Linux if you are concerned about Security

Okay this is a bit off topic, but I'm pressed for time and have
exhausted my normal sources. It looks like our machine (win2K) was
hacked and scan1000.exe was installed.  I can tell that it's a port
scanner of some kind, but info on this thing is sparse.  Anyone know
anything about it?  Or maybe a page I can look at?
