I'm considering migrating from sendmail to postfix but I have run into something which looks like a permission problem. I followed the directions in the RedHat postfix HOWTO, stopped sendmail, started postfix and sent mail to the machine. However, it bounces telling me that :
Final-Recipient: rfc822; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; can't create user output file. Command output: procmail: Couldn't create "/var/spool/mail/postfix" /var/spool/mail is currently owned by root:mail with permissions 775 Do I just change the ownership to postfix ?? And group what ? mail ? peter ---- Peter Skensved Email : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dept. of Physics, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
