Hi,
I need to setup IP routing and a Firewall very quickly on LINUX. Unfortunately I've never done this before on LINUX. Does anybody have any really simple instructions or can they offer any advice.
My internal network (corporate LAN) is on the 10.1.30.x to 10.1.32.x range with a subnet of 255.255.0.0.
The gateway to the internet is 192.168.254.254 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0
I need to setup LINUX to route from the internal LAN to the external gateway. I'm running Redhat LINUX 9

You have to install and run iptables (that is a firewall and masquerader) - please see www.netfilter.org -, that is included in RH9....and make ome masquerading on it...detailed instructions on that site
Rules of firewall can be prepared with many tools (I use webmin..)
