Depending on what you have installed on your machine, you should have everything you need to recompile your kernel. There are numerous HOW-TO's on how to recompile your kernel. As Jason said, kernel.org has the info, your machine should have all the software, since you're not updating to a newer kernel. You MIGHT have to load your kernel source code off of the CD's, I believe they're on #4, but I might be wrong, since I use RedHat 8.
