This is a more detailed description of my ealier message:
I plan to install RH Advanced Server on a Dell PE2650 with PERC3-DI RAID Controller, and I would like to avoid the pitfalls like I am experienceing now with my RH6.2 server, such as low disk space on the /, /boot, and /home partitions, while there is plenty of disk space on the /usr2 partition. This will be a web server, running Apache, also running ColdFusion MX. It has dual Xeon CPU's, 2GB RAM, and 146GB disk space in a RAID5 configuration. For backup, I will use ArcServe v9, and a Dell 122T DLT autoloader.
I am no linux expert, so any helpful hints during this planning stage would be very appreciated.
I would suggest:
100MB /boot 10GB / 136GB /home
This is assuming that you put your content in /home. Otherwise you may want to change this, and it's a very general concept anyway.
