Hi Cyberman,

One of the problems with Microsoft is that they change their document
type so often no living soul can keep up the pace and produce the right
filter. ApplixWORD doesn't have any filter for MS Word 97. I think the
easiest way would be to set the fileformat in the Options dialog box
permanently to "Save in Word 6". If I remember well this should be
possible. It would be also practicle because - contrary to what
Micro$oft wants to make everybody believe - not all Window users run to
the shop to get the newest MS product the moment it's released. A lot of
users still work with older Word versions.

Hope it works.
Zoki.

Due to various Micro$oft moves against basic decency and common sense, I
accept - with a strong protest - MS Office file formats (Word 2 & 6,
Excel 3, 4, 5 & 7) but urge you to stop using them. Alternatives exist!
