That isn't what determines if a modem is a winmodem.  A winmodem is a
software based modem.  A PnP modem isn't necessarily a winmodem, a PnP modem
only requires that something (either the BIOS, ICU, Win95, or some other
software configure what IO port and IRQ the modem is using).  More then
likely, since his modem doesn't say anything about being a winmodem, it
isn't one, since all USR WinModems I have seen are labeled as such.
