I would use the syntax specified by your modem manufacturer.
I gave you the init string for my farralon netopia by mistake. the two are
vitual clones but the init strings are different. I apologize for my error.
Try this one which is for the 3com impact IQ:
AT E0 V1 &D2 &C1 S0=0 S71=1 S82=2
lemme know if it doesnt work. I have used these modems and achieved duel
channel bonding on both in linux 4.2 and 5.0.
