Dear friends:

I was handled a LaserJet series II, which I am trying to make print under Linux
6.0. After printing the self test pages of the printer, I tried to make linux
work with it unsuccesfully.

I then moved the printer to a Win 98 box, loaded the drivers, but printing
failed, too.

As I used two different Centronics parallel cables on each box, and one of them
was new, so I believe the problem is actually on the printer side. I am trying
to print on LPT1 (where I am actually printing with other printers).

I have no manual for the printer. There are some DIP switches on the back of
the LaserJet. I hope it is a misconfiguration of them what is causing trouble.

I would appreciate if anyone of you could be so kind of telling me where can I
find a LaserJet II manual on-line (I already tried HP website...) or if you can
tell me how to configure the DIP switches on the printer's back.

Thank you very much in advance for your always valuable help.

Best regards,

-Manuel.
