Hallo,
I installed RH6.0 (upgrading from RH5.2) from a French CD on this Intel
Pentium box. Everything worked fine, only when I tried to recompile the
kernel, both 'make menuconfig' and later 'make zImage' failed. ('make
config' DID work).
The relevant part of the error message I got on both failed makes is:
BUG IN DYNAMIC LINKER ld.so : dynamic-link.h : 57 : elf_get_dynamic_info
: Assertion '! "bad dynamic tag"
' failed !
I wonder if there is something wrong with the C-compiler that this CD
installed. If that is the case, could anyone point me to the right rpm's
to download, or could I find them on my RH5.2 CD (Variety pack) ?
I DID check the RH6.0 Errata, but I could not make out anything that
seemed connected to this problem.
