I apologize for going off-topic here, but I was wondering if anyone might have
recommendations on database engines capable of doing revision control with
relatively unstructured data. I'm interested in software that can manage a
very large set of enginering data consisting of various ASCII and binary data
files. CVS came to my mind as one possibility, but I wasn't sure if there
might be better alternatives. My impression is that tools like MySQL and
Postgresql are not well suited for this.
