I use DHCP on my system as well, and I noticed the almost exactly the same
behavior - The problem is with the initscripts package I upgraded (I think
the latest on their site is initscripts-4.68-1.  As soon as I did a
reinstall of the original initscripts-4.63 from my CD, it all worked again
- Any idea who to contact about this?
