Well, I'd say it depends on your usage. I'm using Qmail, and am quite happy
with it, for our corporate mail system. The advantages of security, speed
and configuration over sendmail were enough to warrant moving to qmail. At
home Qmail is kind of overkill and if I was going to setup a smaller system
and didn't want to spend a couple of days learning a mail system I'd
probably go with postfix.
