You mean beyond the obvious trivial requirements of cron itself and the
unknown, once-a-day slowdown due to the job? A 400MHz Pentium should
handle things like rotating the logs etc without much CPU slowdown. To be
honest, when it happens on my machine at 4 AM I notice the HD buzzing if
anything. Maybe there is a momentary CPU spike. The disk activity could
slow down some other disk activities.
