Well, after hours of searching and screwing around with smb.conf
and adding the linux box to the domain in server manager (always
forget to do that) i found a message someone posted back in may
on a website about how to do this. Seems once you have added the
computer in server manager (assuming everything else is
configured correctly) you simply need to add the -U username
option and viola, you're connected to NT machines. Of course i
haven't tested it with any user's usernames, strictly the admin.
I was thinking of trying to write some scripts to create a folder
and sort of mount all the computer's shares, a network
neighborhood type of thing. Unless of course someone has already
written something like that and i haven't heard about which is
the reason for this post. At any rate, has anyone heard of such a
front-end? If not, i guess this is my chance to give back. (Even
if i've only been using linux for a couple of months).

Jeff

ps. i'm still working on vmware and wine. hopefully i'll get one
of them to work.
