ISA jumpered internal modem?

I recently got a internal modem. It is said to be hardware-basedm, so I
assume it will work with linux.

But I have a winmodem in my machine. How do I install this new one? Should
I treat this new one as a PnP device? or should i reset the jumpers and
make it non-Pnp?
