Hi,
I'm completely unable to print over my network. I have three Linux
machines, ripley, weaver, jonesy, running Red Hat 6.0. ripley has an
Epson Stylus Color 800 printer. I can print fine from ripley. I
configured remote printing on weaver and jonesy using printtool. But
when I try to print from weaver or jonesy, the job just sits on the
queue without printing. lpq on these remote machines, weaver in this
example, shows the error message:
weaver.emeraldbiostructures.com: waiting for queue to be enabled on
ripley

I have all machines listed in /etc/hosts, /etc/hosts.equiv,
/etc/hosts.lpd. /etc/hosts.equiv and /etc/hosts.lpd are identical and
look like this:
192.168.1.11 weaver.emeraldbiostructures.com weaver
192.168.1.12 ripley.emeraldbiostructures.com ripley
192.168.1.13 jonesy.emeraldbiostructures.com jonesy
Here's ripley's /etc/printcap:

I've even installed the latest lpr-0.47-1 rpm. What am I overlooking?
How do I enable network printing? Thanks,
Hidong
