Turning off DPMS under KDE

Ok, i just upgraded to RH6.1 last nite and everytime i start
up a remote xwindows session from my windows PC i get an error
message saying my X11 server doesn't support DPMS.  Well, obviously
considering it's a remote terminal, so how do i turn it off so KDE
doesn't try and use DPMS?  I can't change the option in KDE config
cause it displays the same message and won't let me...

Any ideaz?
