Hey there guys, got a question for you and I hope someone can help. I
am trying to setup a network kickstart server. Basically, I have done
the following:
Setup a DHCP server.
Setup a KICKSTART disk and config file.
Setup a group in dhcpd.conf for the system like the following:
group {
filename "/home/ftp/pub/61-i386/ks.cfg";
next-server 192.168.2.140;
host setmeup { hardware ethernet 00:90:27:e0:39:24; }
}
After all this, I am supposed to be able to start the bootnet.img disk
on the client and type "linux ks" and it should load with the ks.cfg
file. What I am running into is the following:
When the system comes up, it gets the IP address from the server and it
appears to get the file. This is good. When it goes beyond that, it
gets a system signal 11 error. Am I doing something wrong? I have
successfully installed with the config on the bootnet.img. Now I am
trying to go the next step. If anyone knows , please let me know or if
I didn't provide enough information, let me know. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks
