Thanks for getting back. Would that XFree 3.3.6 be any different from
Xfree from Xfree.org. I d/l'ed the SVGA 3.3.6 server tar from one of the
mirrors and it was the same as 3.3.5
At this stage, at 24bit (1024x768) it's useable - except NS has some
ugly spots and WP8 the toolbar is unreadable (makes WP8 unuseable)...
SO5, tho, is fine....
Anyone know what libs NS and WP8 are compiled with - motif? Seems to be
specific to them or at least the image format they do their icons in...
So far they are the only apps I have found affected (framemaker and
acrobat reader are okay).
Only other glitch is that the mouse pointer becomes a large black square
now and then for no apparent reason. (at 8 or 16 bit there are lots more
probs tho)
Seems weird, but otherwise it's a very quick card and the server is
doing a fair job.
