My linux server has 2500+ accounts and is primarily used for mail. This is
what free returns:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 582080 577256 4824 38472 190552 336512
-/+ buffers/cache: 50192 531888
Swap: 481416 5112 476304
582M might be a little over kill, but it operates very good.

Subject: mail accounts and RAM
We are using Linux mail server with 550 MHz CPU. Do you have any suggestion
about how much memory can handle how many accounts on this server.
Thanks
Joseph
