compaq net33 question

I have a compaq net33 box with internal nic which is wierd.  If someone
can educate me on the proper flavor nic setting for ethernet, I would be
thankful.   I would like to configure it as a simple firewall.  What is
the recommendation and what flavour of nic is best to be use for eth1
and eht2
