Howdy,
I've got a Gateway Solo 9300 and I'm having some trouble getting a
3com 3CXFE575CT to work with RH 6.0 - I say some because while it fails at
boot, if I issue the

                /etc/rc.d/init.d/network restart

        command, all is well.
        Weird.
I downloaded pcmcia-cs-3.1.13 from sourceforge.org and compiled it
as per the PCMCIA HOWTO. I aimed it at the source directory let fly and
all seemed well. (I did NOT recompile the kernel.)
However, when the Gateway boots, it seems to detect the card wrong
seeing it as a 3Com 3CCFE575CT LAN Cardbus Cyclone (and I got one of these
too, stuck it in and it won't detect at boot either so I'm even more
confused) and then I get these messages in the system log file:

        Then later, amd issues these:

Mar 23 12:53:35 magellan amd[406]: Network: wire="209.96.177.128"
(netnumber=209.96.177.128).
Mar 23 12:53:35 magellan amd[406]: My ip addr is 209.96.177.241

So it is getting the numbers - it just won't work.
If anyone can offer me any hints I'd be very grateful!
