I use these cards on my home lan without so much as a hiccup. In order
to utilize the tulip driver, you have to have version of at least 89h of
the tulip driver. Recent linux distros generally already have at least
this version ( but usually better ).

Linksys has about 3 different versions of this card using different
chips on it. To utilize Linux you should make sure you get the card
thats is labeled DLW-L100B w/bootrom or without, or the more readily
available chip that has LC82C169 printed on the chip itself on the card.
A picture is available here
http://www.linksys.com/dlc/howtotelllne100tx.htm . Im sure the older
model with Digital atually printed on the chip would work well too. I
have no experience with the other versions of thier cards.

Linksys has a page for help with the tulip driver here
http://www.linksys.com/support/solution/nos/linux_lne100tx.htm

I've read somewhere that undewr linux this card had problems. However I
have never had any problems what-so-ever. And compared to 3Com cards I
really get more bang foir the buck out of these cards. Been using them
since Red Hat Linux 5.1.

Once working it will be identified at boot time as a "Lite-On" chip.

Hope that helps ya.

Scott
