Ok, today I check my log and I see this entry:

Apr 4 18:18:26 dimrill pppd[267]: Sent 17054927 bytes, received 137291046
bytes.
and I think "that is a lot of bytes recieved..." so I divide 137291046 by
600 and come up with 21227. Now, I'm pretty sure I don't have a modem
that can transfer at 21K/s so what is going on here?
