We have a linux print server taking print requests on our internal
network, but the print server won't print for all the machines that send
requests to it. I've made sure everyone is in the hosts.lpd file, and I
know the printcap files are fine, because it's printing for other (read:
windows) users. Here is a log snippet:

May 18 13:15:09 printsrv01 lpd[7218]: printsrv01.noc.fix.net requests
printjob deskjet
May 18 13:38:54 printsrv01 lpd[7640]: clark.fix.net requests recvjob
deskjet
May 18 13:38:54 printsrv01 lpd[7640]: deskjet: job could not be printed
(cfA030clark.fix.net)

How can I find out more about this error? I really want to kill this
problem! Also note, the print jobs where it says it's being requested /by/
the print server are the only ones that work. This sounds like maybe the
problem lies in the remote-job-request mechanism, but I have no experience
w/ lpr and the manpages + docs I've found haven't been very helpful.

thanks,
/me
